Mission And Objective
Nehru Gram Bharati University, Kotwa, Jamunipur, Dubawal, Allahabad believes in the words of Nehruji that "A University stands for humanism, tolerance, reason, the adventure of ideas & for the search of truth"
The University upholds and strives to achieve the following :⇒ To provide education to the masses staying in remote areas.
⇒ To provide specialized job oriented courses to people living in village and small towns & cities of the country.
⇒ To integrate and upgrade students from rural areas with urban area by providing world class educational facilities in upcoming areas near cities.
⇒ To stop movement of students population from rural area to urban areas.
⇒ Special emphasis on job oriented courses.
⇒ Women empowerment and self dependency through education.
⇒ To make necessary changes in the prevalent educational system in order to cater to the needs of new vocations that are being created increasingly with explosions in the area of Science and technology and to adopt a system in education which would promote and stress on " Learning by Doing" inculcated through extension of education and through distance learning mode.
⇒ To impart free education to the poor, helpless handicapped and needy children/students to carry out teaching activities at the campus.
⇒ Integration of Rural area with the world through education
⇒ To give effect to the spirit of national and international good will and friendship and partnership, as well as the desires of the people of other areas and countries to share their best with each other for the overall sustainability of human life on planet earth.
⇒ To organize short term training programmes for farmers block and district level officials/non-officials concerned with agriculture and rural development.
⇒ The University keeps the students to inform about potential job opportunities and helps them in making prudent decision while making their career decisions.
⇒ To impart leadership qualities and social responsibilities through education.
The aims and objectives for which the rural institute proposed to be established are as under:⇒ To work for the educational enlistment of the rural and general public irrespective of caste, creed, sex & religion.
⇒ To make the necessary changes in the prevalent educational system in order to cater to the needs of new vocations that are being created increasingly with explosions in the areas of Science & technology and to adopt a system in education which would promote and stress on "Learning by doing" inculcated through extension of education and through distance learning mode.
⇒ To impart free education to the poor, helpless handicapped and needy children/students, to carry out teaching activities at the campuses and to award diplomas and degrees at the level of bachelor, master, doctoral & post-doctoral level. To carry out utilitarian, explanatory and informative research activities in various disciplines.
⇒ To carry out extension activities in the area of rural craft (Carpentry, Smithy, pottery, leather work etc.) in order to create employment in the rural sector. To organize short term training programmes for farmers, farm workers and others in various aspects of agriculture sciences.
⇒ To carry out training programmes for the village, block and district level officials/non-officials concerned with agriculture and rural development.
⇒ To carry out extension advisory work through direct as well as through distance mode in villages of U.P. and neighbouring states.
⇒ To do all such other acts and things as may be necessary or desirable to further the objects of the institute. And also to establish Nehru Gram Bharati University incorporating Rajiv Gandhi P.G. College with all its institutes including Teacher's education, special education, rural institute, comprising agricultural science & allied courses. Rural engineering and technology, Rural Business Management Comprising M.B.A. & MCA, Women's Empowerment through Priyadarshini Women's College, Medical and Para - Medical Courses, Mass Communication and Journalism, Distance Education and Extension and any other future important & vocational/professional courses.
Interpretation of the objectives.
The Institute is established for public benefit and accordingly the objectives of the Institute as set forth above will be interpreted and restricted to mean such objectives and purposes as are regarded in law to be a public charitable in nature.
⇒ The institute shall be open to all persons of whatever race, religion, creed, caste, class & geographical area of the country. No test or condition shall be imposed as to religious belief or occupation in admitting or appointing members, students, teachers, workers or in any connection what so ever.
⇒ No capitation fee shall be charged in any form in consideration for admission.
⇒ Income & Property of the institute not to be paid or transferred by way of profit. No portion of the income and property of the institute shall be paid or transferred directly by way of profit, to the persons who at any time, or have been members of the Institute or to any of them, provided that nothing here in contained shall prevent the payment in good faith or remuneration to any member there of or other person in return for any service rendered to the institute or for travelling, halting and other similar charges.
